Weldon was a private individual who loved time spent with his family, especially at the cottage on Chandos Lake. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and keeping the woodpile stocked.  Together with  Doreen he went on many driving trips out west to visit family and to the United States. The life and work of his church had always been important to Weldon and for over 30 years he served on the St. George's Cemetery Board. He was also active in the Legion and had server as Treasurer. In later years he discovered computers and enjoyed playing internet checkers and checking his email. Friends and family will remember his kind and generous nature, sense of humour and quick wit.
